James L. Leonhart

James Leonhart is the Executive Director of WBMA. Mr. Leonhart has held senior leadership positions in public secondary education as well as with AT&T of Wisconsin. He began his affiliation with the WBMA in 2001 while serving with the Madison firm of Dewitt Ross & Stevens.

Karen M. Dettinger
Operations Director


Karen Dettinger is the Operations Director of WBMA. She has a Ph.D. in industrial engineering, and over 20 years of experience working with companies in the areas of organization and leadership development. Prior to joining WBMA she worked as an independent consultant, and as a Partner and Managing Director at Affiliated Engineers, Inc.

Jennifer K. Christianson
Office and Marketing Manager

Jennifer Christianson is the Office and Marketing Manager of WBMA. She has ten years of experience in marketing/sales and operations. Prior to joining WBMA Jennifer worked as an independent consultant and as Director of Marketing & Communications at Charter Business. She began her career as a project & production manager at Promega.
