We are delighted that Sean Carroll, a thought provoking and humorous speaker, as well as a finalist for the 2009 National Book Award, and a Howard Hughes investigator at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be our keynote speaker.

Keynote Speaker:
Geneticist Sean B. Carroll, is the acknowledged leader of the exciting new biological field known as Evo Devo and is Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics and an Investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Professor Carroll will discuss, "Remarkable Creatures: Epic Adventures in the Search for the Origins of Species." The search for the origins of species has entailed a series of great adventures over the past 200 years. This talk will chronicle the exploits of a group of explorers who walked where no one had walked, saw what no one had seen, and thought what no one else had thought. Their achievements sparked a revolution that changed, profoundly and forever, our perception of the living world and our place within it.
